Settings dialog

This function allows to compare the data in the current table with data from a stored table file (*.comptable). This is useful to compare the current data to another data set, e.g. a reference collection. The Data Types and settings for distance calculation are fetched from the selected file.

A settings dialog allows to choose the file, and to select parameters:

• Max. distance of displayed best-matching strains: Only strains up to a given distance (given in %) are shown. E.g. using a value of 0.2 only strain from the file that have less than 20% distance are displayed.
• Max. number of displayed best-matching strains: The number of best-matching strains that are displayed.
• Mapping of table columns to file columns: The columns left of the arrow represent the columns in the file. The table columns that map to this column can be chosen on the right side of the arrow. File columns that are used for distance calculation are marked by a dark-green background.
