Trial License

When the server is initialized and started for the first time, a trial license valid for 30-days is created. SeqSphere+ access with the trial license is limited for a time period, and also has some usage limitations (e.g. database size)

After the trial period is expired, the license switches to read-only mode that allows no editing of existing data and no creation of new data. This license can be unlocked by a full license dongle.

Full License

USB hardware key for full license

The full license is activated by a dongle (a USB hardware key). This license allows full SeqSphere+ usage for a specific number of user accounts (seats).

Activation with a Trial License Code

A trial license code is created by default on application initialization. In special cases, a trial license code file can be imported using the Sysadmin manager.

Microsoft Windows

Use of the dongle needs a special driver software which is delivered with the server installer and is installed by default. Driver installation can be disabled via checkbox.
If installed separately, download the driver from wibu.com.

Linux

Use of the dongle needs a special driver software, which must be installed separately.
The packages can be downloaded from wibu.com.
